Im currently sitting out front of 721 Clarence Cambridge where I'm watching and listening to the male Black Backed Woodpecker on the north side of the road. About 5 minutes ago 2 Golden Eagles flew over this same spot. I've been here for about 40 minutes.
I also had 2 Sandhill Cranes fly over me just east of Bourget at Russell rd and Johnston. Not a bad day :) To reach Clarence Cambridge road, get off hwy 417 at exit 79. Head north on Limoges road that ends up bearing east and turns into Clarence Cambridge. Its approximately 8 km to the location of the woodpecker from where Limoges rd turns into Clarence Cambridge. Its been feeding on a large fallen pine tree.
