Hi Ontbirders:

I have been reading a few emails of late promoting the use of eBirds. Well,
here's one more reason to sign up. If this were early in the season, I likely
would not be reporting it....but it is getting late in the season when Great
Gray Owls down here will start to move back north. Some have been known to
stay into early April. I asked the person who found the owl if it was OK to
report it to Ontbirds and he said that was fine.

Someone reported a Great Gray Owl to eBirds today in Kingsville, Ontario at 418
North Talbot Road. This is maybe about 10+ kilometers from one of its previous
known location on McCain Side Road. The person who reported it said it was
perched next to the road but later flew into some trees. He had seen the GGO
reported earlier in the year. If someone does see it again, would appreciate
an update. Happy birding.
