Greetings Ontbirders,
I did a quick check off Presqu'ile's Beach 2 this morning and saw a
"winter" plumaged Red-throated Loon swimming among the Long-tailed
Ducks; this is my earliest ever but perhaps not surprising given the
protracted heat wave. I also walked into the "Fingers" forest,
opposite the Beach 2 parking area and heard several Winter Wrens
singing away and a Carolina Wren, also singing (the latter has been
there since last fall in habitat that appears quite northern in
flavour).
