Hello everyone! We tried this evening for the Eurasian Wigeon on Lakeshore
Rd at the Jaeger Rocks this evening. No luck at our first attempt around
4:30 to 5:30pm. After a dinner at nearby Kelsey's we DID locate him, around
6:45pm. He was in exactly the same location described by Alec Humann and
others. Travel south from Fort Erie on Lakeshore Rd, bearing left at the
Old Fort Erie location, toward Jaeger Rocks. He was with a group of
American Wigeons, Gadwalls, and many gulls on a group of rocks sticking out
into Lake Erie - right around a house with a tennis court, a little ways
past the first parking lot in the Jaeger Rocks trails. As Alec mentioned,
there still was a group of American Wigeons further east in the area. but to
spot the Eurasian, go further west to the point described above. For those
with GPS:

The exact location he was foraging was:

42.886410, -78.927284

We viewed him from:

42.887677, -78.927594

Lots of Ring Billed and Bonapartes Gulls present, one Killdeer, other Am.
Wigeons and Gadwall, and some nice views of Red Breasted Mergansers closer
in, as well as further out in the river.

A great bird!
