There were several birders on the alvar today looking for the Say's Phoebe. To
my knowledge no one found it by the time I left at 2 p.m. I searched Shrike
Road end to end, McNamee Rd end to end and Wylie Rd as far north as the marsh.

There were at least 3 shrikes in 3 known locations, many snipe (winnowing),
lots of Upland Sandpipers and the usual Carden niceties (bluebirds, thrashers,
towhees, Field Sparrows, etc.) - lots of song.

The alvar is just north of Kirkfield.
