Hi Folks, While walking in the rain at Whitefish Island (Sault Ste. Marie, ON) tonight I observed a male and female Yellow-headed Blackbird. They were feeding on midges on the rocks at the base of Whitefish Creek. The male flew off before I could dig my camera out of my coat but the female hung around and I got some photos.
Whitefish Island is located in the west end of town along the Ste. Mary's River, across from the Sault recreational boating locks. Sault Ste. Marie is located 3 hours west of Sudbury along Hwy 17.
