Ontbirders,

I found 3 singing male / territorial Prairie Warbler's on an impressive rock
barren about 3.5 km west of Kaladar, along Hwy 7,  immediately north of Beattie
Curve Road [Google earth calls this Suphide Line for some reason]. There was
also a singing male Golden-winged Warbler along the old road alignment, on the
north side of Hwy 7.

The barren would also be of interest to butterfly enthusiasts; with Chryxus
Arctic, Brown, Henry's and Eastern Pine Elfin present in numbers, as well as
some neat alvar-type flora.

Cheers,
