Normally I wouldn't send an email about Swainson's thrushes, but I was pretty shocked to see a bird hopping around my backyard tree for 30-60 minutes, making a strange call. I tried to take pictures of it so I could ID it and, yes, I had a Swainson's thrush in my tree, 50 or so feet up, calling to another Swainson's thrush a few houses down.
