Greetings,

This morning the Piping Plover was seen again in the Beach 2 area; other shorebirds included 1 White-rumped S/p, 2 Dunlin, 8 Least S/p, 2 Sanderling, 5 Ruddy Turnstone, 22 Semi Plover, plus resident Killdeer and Spotted Sandpiper. Off shore from Beach 2 on the glass calm water was one breeding plumage Red-thr Loon, 2 Horned Grebe and 600+ Long- tailed Duck. A Red-headed Woodpecker was heard calling from the big cottonwoods around the B2 parking lot, and a Willow Flycatcher was singing from the willows behind B3.

Directions: Presqu'ile is on the north shore of Lake Ontario, south of Brighton. It is well signed from Hwy 2 or the 401.
