I walked the path opposite Thickson's Woods this morning. West along the lake.
I had 2 Willow Flycatchers in 2small treetops. Both identified through a very
distinct " fitz pew " call and very very faint eye ring. Further along as well
just past the bird feeder there were 20 Bank Swallows landing in dead grass
cuttings and taking them away.
This trail is found at the very end of Thickson Rd in Whitby. (401 exit). Go
south to the end, park in the cul de sac and the trail goes west right from
there. Flycatchers were 500m or so along the trail and the bank swallows were
just past the bird feeder.
