This Junco was observed by Staines Pond by Staines Road about half a kilometre east of its intersection with Morningside Avenue. It was completely out of breeding habitat, and so represents a rather strange sighting given the date. Other, more expected but still interesting sightings of a 3 hour walk included Willow and Alder Flycatchers in song, a Mourning Warbler, and 5 Indigo Buntings.
