Ended our UK tour today with Snowy Egret near Dunnville at 7 am (see directions from Kevin Shackleton earlier) and 100 Whimbrel as we arrived at Col Sam Smith Pk in Etobicoke (foot of Kipling Ave.) at 2.30 pm.The Whimbrel flock included one with distinct white rump :-European sub-species or perhaps now a split ? Photos obtained.Also at the park close to the Whimbrel Watch was the 1st-summer male King Eider accompanied by 3 Mallards.Thanks again to all the birders who assisted our group throughout the month.
