Sorry for the late post, I was waiting for confirmation on the photos. On
Tuesday May 29th I had a first year male Yellow Headed Blackbird beneath my
feeders backing on to Thickson Woods in Whitby. I managed a few photos through
the window. These were confirmed by Glenn Coady last night. The bird was with a
group of RW Blackbirds and Cowbirds. I have not seen it since but it could be
around the marsh at the east end of Thickson Woods. I will forward the photos
to the OFO site later today.
Thickson Woods is found at the very south end of Thickson Rd a 401 interchange
in Whitby. The woods is on the east side of the road just before the end cul de
sac. Walk down the gated road right at the large green sign to access the woods
and marsh.
