The bird was where Freda described, in a largish pond on the north side of Ravenshoe Road, a few hundred metres east of Woodbine Avenue. >From Toronto one can take the 404 highway to its northerly terminus at Green Road and then head east to Woodbine where one turns left to go up to Ravenshoe. At Ravenshoe turn right, (east) and look for the pond on the left.
