June 13 2:15 - 3:30 PM An an adult, breeding plumage laughing gull on Waverley Beach at the end of Helena Rd off Dominion Road. The bird presents with a charcoal gray mantle, black legs showing a little red in good light, black feet with some red, black primaries (no white but a little lightness was seen on the near all black primaries, large red bill, white eye arcs above and below the eye, and a black hood. In Fort Erie (at the source of the Niagara River in Canada) Dominion Road parallels the north shore of Lake Erie. Take Dominion Road east. Near the East end of Dominion Road you will find Helena Road going south to Lake Erie. It is about a mile from the Niagara River. At the south end of Helena Street is Waverly Beach (this area is also referred to as Erie Beach). This is where the Gull was originally found and it remained there for nearly an hour. However, at about 3:10 it started slowly walking westward. By 3:30 PM it was see nearly 200 yards west of Waverly Beach.
