Recent weather or perhaps just the passage of time seems to be changing the mix 
of shorebirds at West Perth Wetlands.

Species seen:
1 Adult Stilt Sandpiper in pretty fresh-looking breeding plumage (photos taken)
1 Adult Short-billed Dowitcher in worn breeding plumage.
~60 Lesser Yellowlegs
~50 Killdeer
~30 Spotted Sandpiper
Both adults and juveniles of:
30/3 Least Sandpiper
20/2 Semipalmated Sandpiper
12/2 Pectoral Sandpiper

Also seen:
Goldfinch
Eastern Kingbird
Baltimore Oriole
Savanah Sparrow
Red-winged Blackbird
Song Sparrow
Great Blue Heron
Mallard
Wood Duck (1 female)
Turkey Vulture
Barn Swallow
Bank Swallow
Tree Swallow

West Perth Wetlands is located at the western end of Wellington St in Mitchell, 
ON. There is construction on Wellington, so you will have to use side streets 
to the south to bypass.
