The juvenile red knot is still present along Owen Point Trail, in a mixed flock of plovers and sandpipers. A merlin is keeping the shorebirds on the move, so you may be able to see them from any of the lookouts.
To get to Presqu'ile Provincial Park, take 401 to the Brighton exit and follow the signs to the park. The Owen Point Trail turn-off (well marked) is on the right along the main park access road. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
