At approx 2 pm Anne and I saw a pelican over the south beach near Erieau. It was traveling east and it wasn't white. It did not have black wing tips.
It was light brown with a distinct line on the underside of the wing. Its head was darker, defenitely not white. We suspect it was an immature brown. We will be going out on the boat tomorrow to try to relocate and get photos. We had people with us on the boat, non-birders, so this is the first opportunity to post.
