Ontbirders,

The Marbled Godwit, 1st found by Eric and Liz Jeffery last evening, was still
present this morning at Wildwood Lake. This is just the 4th ever for Oxford and
our 2nd fall record.

Although the best access to this bird is from Line 29, this road was closed
this morning for construction. As a result, I walked up from the 1st bridge
on Line 31 [to the east]. Be warned, this route is about 2.5 km round-trip,
through mud and rocks. Bring boots, water, food and perhaps portable
shelter.......

Thanks to Eric for alerting me to this bird.

To reach the lake, take CR 6 north from the 401 to CR 28. Go west through
Harrington and take the 1st right [31st Line] north. Alternately, give Line 29
a try - if it is open the bird is readily visible from the bridge. The Godwit
was sticking to the north side, east of the bridge.

Cheers,
