Ontbirders,
I searched for the White-rumped subspecies of Whimbrel this evening to no avail.
I thoroughly searched from the Lakeland Centre, east along the beach until I
hit Gray's Road.
Due to the hot weather, there were more than a few beach users, so perhaps the
bird regained energy and was not comfortable with the human disturbance.
The only saving grace was a single Bonaparte's out front of Hutch's.
Any reports on the Whimbrel tomorrow or otherwise would be very much
appreciated.
Best in birding,
