They were not birders. Weather: Hot! 24.7-29-3C; Wind NE early moving clockwise to south @ 11 EST; Cloud cover 30%-.60%->20%; 29.84 in Hg Steady; Vis 12 KM no precip. Raptor Observations: Birds high a shoreline early. Migration line moved north of tower site at horizon when wind shifted. BW, SS, and AK showed up today. OK each of the September type birds except NH showed up. Claude Radley was invaluable sighting far birds. Thanks Claude! Non-raptor Observations: 5 of the Am White Pelicans that have been here for several months put on a show of flying around and did come over the Tower for a time. G. Egret-150, Green Heron--2, Sora-2, Killdeer-3-, Rock Dove -1 (dove at owl decoy),Swifts-7. Hummer-4. Swallow Sp.-44, Gnatcatcher-1, Waxwing-12, Goldfinch-61, Monarch-48. Predictions: Partly cloudy in the morning, then mostly cloudy with a chance of a thunderstorm and a chance of rain. High of 81F. Winds from the SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
