Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Jonathan Stein

Observers: Fred Kirn

Visitors:
Jim Maki, Rodney Laura, Alice Marotti, Sue Friedman, Jim Lynch, Wes
Hetrick, Ralph Geuder and Janet Geuder.

Weather:
Like yesterday, it was sunny and clear with blue sky as far as the eye
could see. The wind was light and out of the southwest.

Raptor Observations:
Not much was interested in moving today. Of note was the addition of two
more Merlins to the season total, one of which plucked a tasty swallow from
the sky right in front of us, the second time that's happened in four days.
An in-close adult male Northern Harrier was also a special treat.

Non-raptor Observations:
Red-winged Blackbirds (80+) and American Goldfinches (30+) were moving
through in the morning. Chimney Swifts (20+) and Purple Martins (40+)
continue to be seen with regularity. Northern Rough-winged Swallows were
again abundant and were joined by limited numbers of Bank, Barn and Tree
swallows.

Predictions:
Should be a lot like today: clear skies, temps in the 80s and southwest
winds.
