There were 2 Red-necked Phalarope in the largest cell at West Perth Wetlands 
this morning.  Eric Jeffrey found them last Sunday so they have been there at 
least 5 days.  A Sora strayed out of the weeds in the fenced cell.  Other 
shorebirds seen were Wilsons Snipe( at least 5) , Greater and Lesser 
Yellowlegs, Baird's, Least, Semipalmated, Solitary, and Pectoral Sandpiper, 
Killdeer and Semipalmated Plover.     The numbers and diversity of waterfowl is 
increasing with both teal, shoveler, pintail, Wood Duck, black duck as well as 
Mallard and Canada Goose.  There was a large flock of Red-winged Blackbirds 
along with Barn, Cliff and Tree Swallows.        Steve Thorpe    .      
Stratford     .    West Perth Wetlands are in Mitchell.  From Hwy 8 (Ontario 
Street) travel south on Wellington St to Frank Street.  Cross over and follow 
the gravel road to the parking lot.
