A juvenile Black-crowned Night Heron and adult Green Heron are fishing still at
the North end of Birch Street at the outflow from the water treatment plant.
An adult Great Blue Heron was there as well. The Green Heron is there most
mornings but you might have to wait for it. Check all around the little bay
and out on the rocks at the entrance where the ducks and geese hang out. A
flock of about 50 adult and juvenile Common Terns fished in the harbour in the
morning and a few were there at 6 pm. At the East end of the large parking lot
at the North end of Birch St. a mixed flock of adult and juvenile
White-crowned, White-throated and Song Sparrows quickly moved in and out of a
brush brush pile and an adjacent mound of earth finding plantain seeds.
Noticed about 5:30 pm and still very active just after 6 pm. The brush pile is
close to the fence around the water treatment plant.
