The final tally of species reported for the three-day weekend event (September 14-16) was 178. This is a new high for the OFO Convention, exceeding the previous high total of 177 at Long Point in 2010. Anyone wishing to see the list should contact me privately.
I have been advised that the 254 registrants this year was actually our fourth highest, behind 258 at Point Pelee in 2009, 270 at Hamilton in 2008, and 271 at Point Pelee in 2007. Good birding.
