Weather: Wet for the first 3 hours with heavy fog and little visibility. Finally, around 10:45 am the sun bdgan to peek through...and a few birds started to move. Winds were moderate from the SW and WSW for the day. Raptor Observations: Not too many birds on the move today with just 53 total...TVs (38), a lone N. Harrier, Sharpies (6), Kestrels (4), a single Merlin and Peregrines (3). Non-raptor Observations: No non-raptors were reported today. Predictions: With strong SW winds predicted for all day Thursday (there's actually a wind warning out for Eastern Lake Erie and Western Lake Ontario) there's a good chance more Peregrines will be moving along the lakeshore. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Dave Brown ([email protected]) Hawk Cliff Hawkwatch information may be found at: http://www.ezlink.on.ca/~thebrowns/HawkCliff/index.htm _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
