Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Jonathan Stein

Observers: Andrew Sturgess

Visitors:
None

Weather:
Overcast all day, occasionally the gray clouds saw fit to spray down a
touch of misty drizzle. Temperatures never rose above the low 50s and a
brisk wind blustered out of the west from start to finish.

Raptor Observations:
A steady procession of Turkey Vultures ventured by the count site today.
Brought down low by the heavy cloud cover and strong west wind, vultures
could frequently be seen streaming by low and very close to us, sometimes
at eye level. Additionally, great looks at two adult Peregrine Falcons made
for an all-around enjoyable day.

Non-raptor Observations:
Small numbers of Rusty Blackbirds (25+) are starting to join the many
Red-winged Blackbirds (600+) moving through. Blue Jays (4000+) were again
abundant during the morning hours. Four Northern Shovelers flew overhead in
the afternoon. Tree Swallows can still be seen in significant numbers out
over the lake. Chimney Swifts (5) are still around.

Predictions:
Mostly sunny with highs in the low 60s and strong wind out of the
southwest.
