Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 9 hours

Official Counter: Todd Pepper

Observers: Jim McCoy

Visitors:
No one braved the weather except Jim McCoy, one of our regular official
observers.

Weather:
A mild day with temperatures ranging from 11.5C - 16C. Strong winds out of
the South all day, including a Code 6 wind up to 48 km/hr right on the hour
of 9 EST. Heavy rain during that same hour resulted in the station being
closed for an hour.

Raptor Observations:
Very little flew until after the storm passed and then a steady stream of
Turkey Vultures started streaming west along the shore line. The occasional
falcon flying threw get me on alert. The day ended with 993 birds of which
97% were TV's, and 10 species.

Non-raptor Observations:
Very little other migration today. Even the American Crows did not start
flying until after 3 p.m. EST, and then only 2 small flocks totalling 325
birds. American Goldfinch were flying as single birds instead of flocks and
totalled 14 for the day. Other highlights are as follows:

Chimney Swift - 4

Northern Flicker - 5

Yellow-rumped Warbler - 6

Red-winged Blackbird - 1150

Predictions:
Another cloudy day with showers forecast all day. Mild with temperatures
between 10 - 14C, but another day of high winds out of the south/southeast
to 25 km/hr.
