Total observation time: 7 hours

Official Counter: Jonathan Stein

Observers: Andrew Sturgess, Fred Kirn, John Elliott, Raburn Howland

Visitors:
Jim Lynch and Rodney Laura

Weather:
It was an absolutely gorgeous day at the park: clear blue skies, a touch of
sun and a persistent cooling breeze mostly out of the southeast.

Raptor Observations:
Accipiters were moving consistently up until the last two hours. All three
falcon species were present and accounted for.

Non-raptor Observations:
Pine Siskins (250+), Red-winged Blackbirds (11000+) and American Crows
(6000+) were very noticeable today. Also, more and more Common Grackles
(300+) were mixed in with the many blackbird flocks. Monarchs (20+)
continued to be seen with regularity.

Predictions:
Cloudy with gradual clearing and temperatures falling into the 40s. There
is a 70 percent chance of rain before 1 pm. The wind will be moderate and
out of the northwest, which should be good once the rain stops.
