Phyllis Coble, Theresa Lindsey, and Jeanece Seals from Tennessee, as a
party visiting from Alberta.
Weather:
WNW to W winds at 11-18km/hr. Temperature ranged from 5.3 to 8.1C. Cloudy
skies during the morning gave way to partly cloudy skies by day end.
Raptor Observations:
Raptors of 11 species including 2 Juvenile Northern Goshawks during the 9am
hour, and 2 Golden Eagles this afternoon.
Non-raptor Observations:
Non Raptor species included Canada
Goose,Gadwall,Mallard,Bufflehead,Ruddy Duck,Great Blue Heron,American
Coot,Bonaparte's Gull-21,Ring-billed Gull,Mourning Dove,Belted
Kingfisher,Red-bellied Woodpecker,Downy Woodpecker,Northern Flicker,Blue
Jay,American Crow-168,Tree Swallow,Black-capped Chickadee,American
Robin,European Starling-500,Cedar Waxwing-34,Northern Cardinal,Red-winged
Blackbird-650,Common Grackle,American Goldfinch-76.
Predictions:
Mostly cloudy skies with NW winds from 8-20km/hr. Temperatures from 2-9C.
We should have a nice variety of Raptors.
