Ontbirds subscribers, The male Eurasian Wigeon found this morning by Alfred
Adamo was still present this evening until sunset just to the west of Thickson
Point. It is still found within a mixed flock of several hundred Mallard,
Gadwall and American Wigeon. Also foraging near shore and on shore were 7
Brant. A Tundra Swan was also present right off the point. To reach Thickson
Point, take Hwy 401 to exit 412 (Thickson Rd.), exit south onto Thickson Rd. S.
and proceed south about 2 km. to the cul-de-sac at its southern terminus. Take
the Waterfront Trail west from near the foot of

Thickson Rd. and walk west until you see the Thickson Point interpretive
signage. Follow the numerous narrow trails to the lake and then west to the
first point of the land jutting out into the lake. Glenn CoadyWhitby, Ontario
