One bird feeding with 50+ Pine Siskins, 3 Purple finches,Red & White-breasted Nuthatches, several Goldfinches and House Sparrows at the feeders and mostly on the ground directly across the street from Pelee Wings Nature Store. The (juvenile) Crossbill is heavily streaked with a wash of red on the breast, head and back. It was present on both sides of the road all afternoon except when disturbed by cats and a lawn mower. Pelee Wings is at 636 Point Pelee Drive, 2km. from the gate of the National Park near the eastern foot of the bridge over Sturgeon Creek in Leamington Ontario.
