Hi All Well, that was exciting - I was sitting at my desk, busily working on the Festival of Birds program for next spring when I spotted a single Evening Grosbeak out of the corner of my eye. The one soon revealed to be part of a group of 20-25 birds, they came in to get a drink at the pond and then moved east in the shrubs along the side of the building. I had a smaller flock fly over the Visitor Centre parking lot when I arrived this morning, and White-winged Crossbills around the White Pines at the Visitor Centre yesterday.
Can't wait to see what other northern visitors show up in the far south this year! Good birding everyone!
