Thanks to Doug's alert, I found the Boreal Chickadee at 2:30 p.m. today. It was feeding with a flock of Black-capped Chickadees at the south end of Halls Road near the Silo.
The flocks were spending as much time feeding in the weeds as they were in the trees. The Black caps were very vocal, but I didn't hear the Boreal. Several other birders got to enjoy the sight. The bird was last seen in the tall evergreens on the west side of the road. Halls Road is in Whitby. It runs south off Victoria Street just east of Lakeridge Road.
