Observation start time: 09:00:00
Observation end time: 14:00:00
Total observation time: 5 hours

Official Counter: Justin Bosler

Observers: Jim McCoy

Visitors:
Jim McCoy and Bob's banding assistant (who's name has slipped my mind),
along with one other birder and a group of 10 walkers.

Weather:
Mostly cloudy to overcast skies predominated with some breaks in the clouds
around noon. A mild day with the temperature climbing only a few degrees to
a high of 10.5C. Winds were minimal all day out of the SSW to SE.

Raptor Observations:
Raptors just weren't interested in flying today, not even the local
redtails. Only two migrant raptors were tallied. On Sunday, I forgot to
mention that the resident pair of Bald Eagles have been adding some sticks
to their already burgeoning nest along the lakeshore, which is visible from
the Tower.

Non-raptor Observations:
Finches continue to move through in good numbers. Conservative tallies of
Common Redpoll and American Goldfinch were 260 and 285, respectively. A
mere 7 Pine Siskins were also noted.

A minor flight of American Robins at 54 birds.

One flock of 35 American Pipits.

And, at least 2 Wilson's Snipe continue at the Shorebird Pond, with 3
present over the weekend.

Predictions:
Fog early giving way to partly cloudy skies. High of 13C. Winds are
forecast to be light out of the NW early and then swing around to the SW by
noon. A small flight is highly possible.
