Hello Ontbirders, The Cave Swallow remained until dark so it could well be there still in the morning. I'm sorry for the brevity of my directions - I am very slow at typing on my phone and kept it brief. Here is a map link to the location from ebird: <https://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&q=45.5080145,-76.1100714>. To get there: From Dunrobin Road, turn onto Constance Bay Drive. Take your first left on Allbirch. Go to the end of the street and turn left on Bishop Davis. This takes a hard right and becomes Bayview. Continue along parallel to Buckham's Bay. When you hook to the right on Bayview you leave Buckham's Bay and head downstream along the Ottawa River. The first access point (marked by a small blue sign with 3 white waves on it) is on your left after a hundred meters or so. Park at the access point. The bird was feeding on chironomid midges between the access point and an area about 100m downstream (eastish).
For those confused by my previous directions, you can also get to this site by taking Whistler Road from Len Purcell Drive (parallel to Bayview). Whistler turns into a sand road (called "The Sand Road" by locals) and is drivable. Continue on Whistler after it becomes sand and you come out right at the river access point where the swallow is. Sorry if my directions threw folks off but this seemed like the simplest directions at the time. Good luck tomorrow. The weather looks very interesting for some great birding this weekend.
