Weather: The snow stopped just in time for the count this morning. The temperature ranged from 0.4 C to 3.2 C. The clouds decreased as the day went on and the sun actually broke through for a while. The winds were strong, starting out directly out of the south, eventually shifting to the SW. Raptor Observations: A total of 18 raptors of 4 species. Red-tails were dominant at 10. 3 Bald Eagles of varying age flew by. The highlight was a very dark Red-Tailed hawk that passed just north of the tower offering good looks. Non-raptor Observations: Very little movement today. Some highlights included Tundra Swans (157), Bonaparte's Gulls (36), Am. Goldfinch (19), a few Snow Buntings, and a single Chipping Sparrow. Predictions: Partly cloudy with a low of -1 C and a high of 3 C.
