Hi all,
This afternoon I came across a flock of ~75 Bohemian with only 3/4 Cedar
Waxwing along B Line @ #70747 which is a house or two north of The Huron
Country Playhouse. The flock was high in the trees on the east side but as I
was scoping them they flew down directly at me. I had not noticed that the Red
Cedar/Juniper beside me was festooned with berries - one of very few that I
have seen this year. It would have been a photographer's dream but my video was
at home and the Coolpix in the other car.
At the GB lagoons 36 Tundra Swan flew over westerly before I climbed the
gate and some 200 geese exploded from the first lagoon as I climbed the gate -
199 Canada and a single white morph Snow Goose in this flock. Almost all the
ducks were Mallard but eventually I did find 1 female Ring-necked Duck, a male
Lesser Scaup, 4 Ruddy Duck and 2 female Nothern Shoveler. Also had ~20 American
Tree Sparrow(south side)+ a Savannah Sparrow on the north side. Cheers!
Maris

Directions - B-Line runs north east of the main intersection in GB (Hwy #21 and
C.R. #81) which is just east of Mollard Line which runs south it's ~ 1km to the
lagoons.
