05.012.12 - thanks to the sharp eyes of Yogi Vogel in the blistering cold of a
NW Wind the
Greater White-fronted Goose was again found sunning itself at the tip of the
southernmost
spit at Reesor Pond at 4 pm - also there were lots of Cackling Geese amongst
the flock of
2 to 3000 Canadas and earlier today, also present were numbers of Wood, Black,
Ring-neck,
Shoveler Ducks and Green-winged Teal along with Common and Hooded Mergansers and
Mallards plus one Coot - the Pond lies just north of Hwy 407 on Reesor Road in
Markham -
cheers - Stan Long
