we banded a cardinal at the hilliardton marsh it has been one of several cardinals spotted in our area this year. Cardinals are very rare for us in the north but this year we have had over a dozen sightings. I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on why we have so many this year. they are dispersed across the north east part of the province in unprecedented numbers.
