22.12.12 - 12 noon - despite the temps Reesor Pond is wide open and the
Greater White-fronted Goose was seen at noon in company with the mob of
Canada and Cackling Geese which seems to have expanded to 3/4000 birds.
This post is to inform those who have still not got it for their Christmas or
life list and that there's still a good chance of seeing it - but patience for
it is
hard to find in the pack - the white streak along the wing's edge perhaps all
that's to detect when it's lying asleep or its orange feet if it's sleeping
erect
- the Snow Geese were absent - Reesor Pond lies just north of Hyw 407 on
Reesor Road in Markham - cheers - Stan Long
