The Western Tanager was seen again this morning at 11:30 in Durham Court
Park on Waverly street south in Oshawa. It was seen on the west side of the
woodlot of the park feeding on buckthorn berries. It flew across the
railway tracks shortly after. It was an early Christmas present for my son
(who actually found it) and for another birder who was also there at the
time. It was not associating with any other birds and was very active.

Directions From 401 take exit # 415 to Stephenson Road North in Oshawa.
Turn left (west) on Gibb Street (first light after the railway overpass)
then turn left (south) on Waverly Street (at the pedestrian cross walk
lights). It is a quiet residential street with limited parking at the dead
end where the park is.
