25 birders enjoyed a beautiful January 1st in the area between Peterborough and 
Petroglyphs today.Only 30 species were found as well as several White-tailed 
Deer, an Otter and Red Squirrels.Highlights :  2 flocks of Wild Turkeys.        
          3 flocks of Evening Grosbeaks near Petroglyphs.                  1 
flock of 10 Pine Grosbeaks just north of Lakefield.                  2 Pileated 
Woodpeckers giving great views near Petroglyphs.                  2 Long-tailed 
Ducks, rare for the Peterborough area, near Young's Point.                  2 
flocks of Common Redpolls at feeders along County Road 6. Dave
