At 2:30 pm today, I observed an adult Lesser Black-backed Gull on the ice-edge off Little Lake Cemetery with about 50 Herring Gulls.
Slightly smaller than accompanying HERGs; very dark to black back; head heavily streaked, which looks like it is hooded at a distance; photographed. Directions: >From Hwy 7 & 115 Peterborough bypass take Bensfort Rd exit. Follow Bensfort >Rd north & veer right onto River Rd.
