Hello and Happy New Year Everyone! A Red-headed Woodpecker has been coming to
my neighbour's feeder at 3196 Campden Road , Vineland, apparently for almost a
week. I saw him for the first time this morning at about 8:30. The feeder is
easily seen with binos on the front railing of the home and now there is a
hanging suet feeder as well. The homeowners, Judy and Marvin are friendly but
not birders and do not want the bird disturbed so please observe only from the
road. This spot is just east of the Hamilton circle according to the great map
provided by Peter Scholtens, but assuming his territory includes the small bush
to the west of the house, he's probably sometimes a Hamilton bird! lol
These birds did breed in this particular bush this past summer! Enjoy!
