Prince Edward Point and the Waupoos area wasn`t too bad today for birds. Highlights include 8 MUTE SWANS, 6 BALD EAGLES, 1 NORTHERN GOSHAWK, 3 BARRED OWLS, 1 BELTED KINGFISHER, 1 RED-BELLIED WOODPECKER, 2 COMMON RAVENS, 3 RED-BREASTED NUTHATCHES, 30 AMERICAN ROBINS, 130 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS, 1 WHITE-THROATED SPARROW and 8 COMMON REDPOLLS. Most of the open water off the Point was a great distance away. Yesterday morning on Amherst Island produced very little, with the same reported birds except for 2 SONG SPARROWS by the Fishing Village. There was just one small spot with open water along the south shore.
