As noted previously the Townsends Solitaire continues to put on a show opposite 8666 Langstaff Rd. While observing the bird between 1:00 and 2:00 pm today other birds seen at the site included Common Flicker, Evening Grosbeak, and soaring to the east a single Raven. When leaving I also saw a Northern Shrike on Langstaff Rd about a km south of Thertell. The shrike was to the south of the farm with a real estate sign out front and three long low barns on the east side of Langstaff. Directions from a previous poster: Exit Hwy 401 at Hwy 115/35, then exit 115/35 at the town of Kirby. Drive east on Ganaraska Road about 8 km, then turn left (north) on Langstaff Road. Drive past Thertell Road to green number 8666 on the east side of Langstaff Road.
