Hi All,

We are a little late with the December issue of Ontario Birds but all is
in hand. It has gone to the printer and we are hoping for distribution
within the next two weeks or so.

This issue will contain the following contributions:

1. Band encounters of Canada Geese banded in Ottawa, 1987-2011 by
Courtney Young, Shawn Meyer and Christopher Sharp
2. Examining a large reverse migration of songbirds off Fish Point,
Pelee Island, Ontario by Ken Burrell
3. Giant Ragweed (Ambrosia trifida) as a food source for autumn migrants
and winter birds in the Grand River basin by Ken Dance, Kevin Dance and
Michael Dance.
4. In Memoriam: Edmund D. Johns by Kayo Roy
5. In Memoriam: Fred Bodsworth by Glenn Coady
6. Distinguished ornithologists: Jim Richards by Glenn Coady

We are now accepting articles and notes for the April issue.....

Cheers,

Chip Weseloh
Glenn Coady
