This report is from Ken Teasdale. Seen at 4 p.m. today, Saturday, Feb. 16. The owl was sitting atop a cedar tree at the edge of a large open area at 4984 Highway 6, on the east side of Highway 6 in Miller Lake, approximately 500 yards north of the Drift Inn. This bird has reportedly been seen over the past three days on the Dyer’s Bay Road just west of the junction with Highway 6, and also on Highway 6 north of Hidden Valley Road close to the coffee shop run by the First Nations from Cape Croker.
