The Western Grebe was still at Sam Smith Park in Toronto late this afternoon.
It was in the mouth of the harbour, where it has been seen regularly for the
past two weeks. It was associating with Red - necked Grebes.

Numbers of the typical grebes are building. I counted 24 Red - necked and 4
Horned.

Also seen: 1 surf & 3 white - winged scoters.

To reach the park, take Kipling Ave south until it ends (south of Lake Shore
Blvd).
